PORT ALLEGANY — Consistent and heavy hitting from the entirety of the roster carried the Otto-Eldred softball team over Port Allegany in a blowout 20-5 five-inning victory that saw seven Lady Terrors find their way on base.
The Lady Terrors got hot early, putting up seven runs in the first inning alone. Two frames later, they doubled-down with six more scores in the third, including an RBI double from Rayel Hakes and an RBI triple one batter later from Lexi Prince.
While Port managed to scrape together a handful of scores, by that time the lead was already out of reach.
Carrie Drummond led the way at the plate for O-E, ending 3-for-4 with three runs and three more batted in. Prince went 3-for-5 with three runs and three RBIs and Hakes went 2-for-2 with three runs scored and two RBIs. Hakes also took to the circle for the Lady Terrors, tallying 11 strikeouts.

ST MARYS — The Lady Crusaders got their season off to a dominating start, taking down the Ramettes with a blowout home opener.
After taking a four-run advantage in the first, ECC exploded in the second for nine more. In that frame, six Lady Crusaders tallied hits, including Emily Mourer’s two-run home run and Mya Pistner’s two-run triple.
Pistner had the best day at the plate for ECC, going 2-for-2 with four runs batted in. Bailey Thorwart went 1-for-3 with a pair of RBIs while rounding home plate twice herself. Mourer went 1-for-3 at the plate while tallying 12 strikeouts in the circle.

SMETHPORT — Ganelle Dinch led the Lady Hubbers in their win over the Lady Tigers, going 2-for-4 at the plate.
Breille Lehman also found two hits in four appearances in the batters’ box for Galeton.
“Our girls had the jitters but we ran the bases well,” said Smethport head coach Jon Peterson. “There’s room for improvement.”

DUBOIS — The Lady Dutch improved to 3-0 with a third-inning surge over the Lady Chucks.
In the third frame, where St. Marys pulled away for good, the Lady Dutch packed the bases as before finding hit after hit to drive runners home. Molly Hanslovan’s double brought three runners across home plate, while Avery Eckles recorded two RBIs in the inning and Gianna Surra recorded one.
Hanslovan ended 3-for-6 with five RBIs and two scores while Kaylen Eozzo scored three times.

JOHNSONBURG — A 6-run sixth inning helped Johnsonburg to a 10-1 win over Elk County Catholic.
Eric Hoffman was 3-for-4 with three RBIs for the Rams, while Derek Beimel had three hits and two RBIs and Rocco Delhunty also drove in two runs.
Luke Zimmerman went six innings to get the win, allowing just one unearned run on six hits, striking out six and walking three.
Charlie Geci took the loss for ECC, allowing three runs on seven hits in 2 1/3 innings.

SHINGLEHOUSE — LT Meyrs drove in three runs as Coudersport beat Oswayo Valley, 11-1 in six innings.
Owen Deutuschlander went 4-for-4 with a triple and an RBI for the Falcons, while Quinn Kratzer drove in a pair of runs.
Gavyn Ayers tossed three hitless innings to get the win, striking out five.
Nik Bonney took the loss for Oswayo Valley, allowing five runs (three earned) in three innings.
Andrew Wood drove in the Green Wave’s lone run.

ST. MARYS — Noah Farrell’s sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh broke a 3-3 tie and lifted DuBois to a 4-3 win over St. Marys.
DuBois led 3-1 after five innings, but St. Marys scored a pair in the sixth to tie it up.
Ricky Clark and Kaden Clark drove in a run each for DuBois, while Farrell had two RBIs.
Samson Deeb got the win in relief of Tycen Roy, who went five scoreless innings. Deeb allowed two runs in his two innings of work.
Jackson Vollmer drove in a pair of runs for St. Marys, while Cameron Coudriet was 1-for-3 with an RBI and Tyson Beimel was 2-for-3 with two runs scored.
Mason Nicklas took the loss, allowing two runs in 1 1/3 innings. Ben Paul got the start and allowed two runs in 4 2/3 innings.
