Frances Sherman VFW Auxiliary

Frances Sherman VFW Auxiliary met Wednesday evening in the VFW club rooms.

Draping of the Charter was observed for deceased member Joy Bolling, who left us on Feb. 19, 2024.

Membership of the auxiliary stands at 100.76%. Moving into 2025, steps need to be taken to address dues. Across the board (national, department) their share/cut will be more coming off each person’s dues, in the end, leaving your auxiliary in the hole.

Moving forward, to join it will be $30 and annual dues will be $25, commencing in 2025. Now is a good time to consider a life membership. More than likely those will go up in the near future as well. A life membership is based on your age and the amount is found on a membership application. Need help? Contact Kathy Belleville.

There will be a bus trip to the National Home Sept. 6 to 8. Anyone wishing to attend, contact Amy for information on cost, rooms etc. Reservations must be done in advance.

March 29 is Vietnam Veterans Day. There will be soup and sandwiches available at the Post home from noon til gone for our veterans.

Year-end reports were completed for the 2023-2024 year.

The next bingo is April 7 at 1 p.m. The next meeting is at 7 p.m. April 17. Nomination and election of officers will be held at that time.
