A blood drive will be held noon to 5 p.m. Monday at St. Bernard Church, 95 E. Corydon St., Bradford.
Call (814) 596-3395 to schedule an appointment to donate. Appointments are encouraged to reduce wait time but are not required. Walk-ins will be taken as space allows.
The blood drive is for Community Blood Bank, which partners with hospitals in Northwest Pennsylvania and Western New York to provide blood for patients in need. Those at least 17 years of age, weighing a minimum of 110 pounds, and are in good general health, you may be eligible to donate blood. You must have a valid photo ID to donate. Prior to donating, those giving blood should eat a good, solid meal and drink at least 18 ounces of water.
Throughout March, each week, four donors will win a $50 lottery board, all while contributing to a crucial cause. Every donor will automatically be entered to win, which encourages regular blood donations but also adds an element of excitement for donors.
