Leisure Time Powersports is celebrating five years in the Bradford area by doubling the size of the showroom at its Foster Brook location.
“We sell primarily Polaris but also carry KO and SSR brands. And, we have the best steering mowers on the market, if you ask me,” Jay Davids, owner and president, said. “We are finishing up the expansion into the former shoe store, which will give us 11,000 square feet of display space.” The project should be complete this week as the employees finish figuring out where to put everything, he added.
Davids noted that Leisure Time has been in business much longer than five years. The corporation began in 1999 in Corry, then opened a location in 2012 in Limestone, N.Y., where Charlie’s Cycle Shop once was.
He attributes the success of the Bradford location to his staff. It’s all about the employees, claims the owner.
“Our employees, all except one, have been with us for at least three years. They are passionate about what they do, and it’s important to know the person knows what they are talking about, knows what they are doing, and is an expert on the job. We have that here,” he said.
Davids explained that he is from the Erie area and it took a little while to get the right staff, “but we have them now.”
The sales and service teams invest in the needs of their customers buying ATVs, UTVs, motorcycles and zero-turn mowers. Parts, gear and accessories are part of the ride as well. The service department mechanics can and do maintain a variety of brands, Davids added.
Polaris uses stars to rate their stores, Davids said, with one being a low score and three at the highest. “We are a level-three dealer with a gold-certified service rating. Both the store and service score well with Polaris,” he said.
