(TNS) — KFC has taken pizza to the extreme with Chizza.
The pizza and chicken mashup combines two popular flavors and arrives at all KFC locations Monday.
While it’s new to U.S. diners, Chizza was introduced in the Philippines in 2015 and made its way around the world to Korea, Taiwan, India, Thailand, Germany, Spain and Mexico, among other locales.
KFC describes the international smash hit as two white meat extra crispy chicken filets topped in marinara sauce, mozzarella and pepperoni, according to a release.
It will be available to order individually or as a combo meal with fries and medium drink.
To celebrate the Chizza, KFC is transforming its restaurant at 242 E. 14th St. in New York City – the pizza capital of the U.S. – into a one-of-a-kind “Chizzeria” pop-up from Feb. 23-24.
