COLLECTING: The VFW Post 212 Frances Sherman Auxiliary and the VFW Post 212 Bradford Vets Club are working in collaboration with Scout Troop 412 to collect items for deployed men and women. Donate items by March 11 to leave enough time to pack them and ship them out for Easter.
“Our National Guard Unit has made suggestions for the following items as they will be scarce during deployment. There will be a collection box inside to just place items inside.”
Items are: Baby wipes, hand sanitizer, disposable razors, shaving cream, lotions, bars of soap, garbage bags, toothpaste, toothbrushes, dental floss, deodorant, paperback books, reading material and Easter-themed treats and gifts.
Monetary donations will be accepted to help defray supply and shipping costs. Make checks payable to “Frances Sherman Aux” (earmark: Care Packages).
