I always like the comments sent in by Debbie Mott of Smethport.
I like what she had to say about Donald Trump in her recent letter to the editor, but I was very disappointed to read that Republicans in Congress, obeying Trump, are determined to cut off aid to Ukraine, knowing that Ukraine has made great gains in 2023 by forcing Russia to withdraw the bulk of its Black Sea fleet from Moscow’s main naval base in occupied Crimea, broke Russia’s blockade of Ukraine’s Black Sea ports and hit a Russian oil tanker threatening Russia’s oil exports.
President Joe Biden created the border problem, trying to put the blame on Republicans. I don’t know what good he has done. How about the fiasco in Afghanistan? He left billions of dollars of weapons there and thousands of people were left behind, even people with American citizenship.
The media is well aware that Biden is showing signs of dementia and that he does “hide” from appearing in public too often. He has to be careful about what he says — what he is allowed to say — because his progressive cohorts are really running his administration.
Biden has no love for this country, he never has. How about when he said this country is no longer a Christian nation? God help us … we desperately need help.
