Elk County Coroner Michelle A. Muccio-Krise released the following report for 2023.

There were 361 deaths investigated during 2023, in the following categories: 83 natural deaths, 31 accidental deaths, 16 overdose deaths, 15 falls among the elderly, three suicides, 37 nursing home death referrals and 207 cremation authorizations.

The Cribs for Kids Program, which Muccio-Krise oversees and administers, provided eight cribs to community mothers in 2023.
