MOUNT JEWETT — Kinzua Bridge State Park offers a variety of programs this month. Staff advises patrons and participants to dress for the weather as all programs will be held outdoors, unless noted elsewhere. Looking to do something different for that special someone? Visit the park for a romantic walk out on the Kinzua Bridge at 5:30 p.m. this Wednesday. The Valentine’s Evening Walk on the Bridge will meet in front of the Visitor Center, west end of the building at 5:30. Dress for the weather and bring a camera. Following the walk, stop in the Visitor Center Classroom for some conservation chat and a cup of hot chocolate This program is weather dependent.
Then at noon on Saturday, join in on a Winter Nature Walk. Staff will lead a walk around the park to soak up nature! Dress for the weather.
The early bird gets the worm, or so they say. Join in on the Great Backyard Bird Count at 8:30 a.m. on and participate for as little as 15 minutes to watch for birds; longer if you want to. The park has binoculars and field guides to borrow on a first come, first use basis. A valid PA driver’s license is needed as well.
