A Bradford man waived a preliminary hearing Thursday in McKean County Central Court on charges of possessing child pornography.
Marshall Workman, 36, of 191 South Ave., is charged with three counts of possessing child pornography, second-degree felonies; and one count of criminal use of a communication facility, a third-degree felony.
According to the criminal complaint, in July 2021, Bradford City Police received information about a child pornography investigation into Workman from the state police computer crimes unit. A search warrant was applied for, and police seized multiple items, including Workman’s cell phone, which was sent to state police for forensic analysis. State police found three images involving intercourse with prepubescent females and adult males, the complaint stated.
When interviewed, Workman said he didn’t know how the images got there. He claimed to have received a message on Facebook containing child pornography, but the images didn’t match to what was found on his phone. Police said he was the only one to have control over his phone, which was password protected, the complaint stated.
Workman remains incarcerated in McKean County Jail on $20,000 bail. He is represented by Public Defender Phil Clabaugh.
