VOTE: What’s your favorite pop culture museum? That’s what USA Today wants to find out. A Readers’ Choice contest is underway.
Among the nominees are The Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester, N.Y., which is currently trending in second place.
“The Strong National Museum of Play, a highly interactive museum in Rochester, houses the world’s largest collection of artifacts related to play. It’s a collection that can be explored in the International Center for the History of Electronic Games, the National Toy Hall of Fame, and the World Video Game Hall of Fame. Visitor favorites include the Pinball Playfields, Hasbro Game Park, Reading Adventureland, and Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden.”

Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa, Calif.; A Christmas Story House and Museum in Cleveland; Comic-Con Museum in San Diego; Doo Wop Experience Museum in Wildwood, N.J; Mascot Hall of Fame in Whiting, Ind.; Mothman Museum in Point Pleasant, W.Va.; Museum of Broadway in New York City; Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle; National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, N.Y.; National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum in Milwaukee; The Neon Museum in Las Vegas; Oz Museum in Wamego, Kan.; Paisley Park, a vision brought to life by rock star Prince, in Chanhassen, Minn.; Rancho Obi-Wan in Petaluma, Calif.; Vent Haven Museum for ventriloquist dummies in Fort Mitchell, Ky.; and The Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco.
As of Monday, the Strong was in first place, the Mascot Hall of Fame in second, the Comic-Con Museum in third, the Charles M. Schultz Museum in fourth and the American Sign Museum in fifth.
