BROOKVILLE — The Bradford swim teams dropped a pair of decisions to Brookville, with the boys dropping a heartbreaker, 78-76, and the girls falling by a score of 132-30.
The boys came down to the final event, the 400 freestyle relay, which was won by Brookville in a time of 3:37.81.
“Overall, we had several decent swims tonight,” said Bradford coach Erika Close. “I am proud of all the swimmers for coming out and swimming hard after weather interrupted our practice flow throughout the past week. Although it was a tough loss, this team fought hard and was there to support each other. We have a quick turnaround, with our next meet being this Thursday at home against St. Marys.”
Sean Storer and Blake Randall-Klouw both had strong nights for the Bradford boys. Both were part of the winning 200 freestyle relay team that also included Steven Williams and Owen Troisi with a time of 1:41.15, while Storer won the 100 butterfly with a time of 59.36 and Randall-Klouw was first in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:11.41.
Also for the Owls, Peyton Haight won the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:06.59 and Williams the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:35.55.
