COUDERSPORT — Penn State Extension of Potter County will offer a Private Applicator Pesticide Short Course from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 at their office in the Gunzburger Building, Room 216.
This course helps to prepare attendees for the PA Department of Ag private pesticide certification exam.
Find out what you need for certification to safely apply restricted-use pesticides on your farm or other property. Attendees will review and highlight key material in the Pesticide Core and Supplemental Manual. Chapters will be broken up with the inclusion of small group activities and breaks. The course is a two-day event featuring presentations for each core manual chapter and the opportunity to ask any questions about the exam.
All participants are responsible for bringing their own private pesticide applicator core study manual training materials to the class. If you are planning to use study packets that were previously purchased, be aware that some materials may have been updated. Call (877) 345-0691 or go online, https://extension.psu.edu, to order. The PDA licensing exam is not part of this course. To register and pay the $40 class fee, call the Extension Customer Service line at (877) 345-0691 or visit the website.
