For the 87th consecutive year the Kiwanis Club of Bradford held its Christmas party for the children of Beacon Light Behavioral Health System, an affiliate of Journey Health System (JHS). This year’s luncheon was held at Beacon Light’s main campus for Kiwanis Club members, while the children gathered at Beacon Light Academy and participated via Zoom as they sang carols, opened presents and enjoyed treats.
The Kiwanis Club contributes money every year to buy gifts for Beacon Light program clients. Kiwanis President Valerie Johnson, nearly 25 Kiwanis members and Beacon Light leaders attended the holiday giving event.
Michele Kicior, director of Human Resources at JHS, and Bradford Kiwanis Club member said, “We’re truly grateful to the Kiwanis Club for continuing this holiday tradition for such a long period of time as it demonstrates their commitment to the Beacon Light mission and their willingness to make a difference every single year for the children in our care.”
