A Bradford man is in McKean County Jail on allegations of possessing child pornography.
Joseph Frontera III, 30, is charged with two counts of knowingly filming or photographing a child in a computer sex act, second-degree felonies; one count of criminal contact with a minor regarding sexual abuse, a second-degree felony; six counts of child pornography, third-degree felonies; and one count of corruption of minors, a first-degree misdemeanor.
According to the criminal complaint, on June 23, police responded to a report of a man who said he had let Frontera use his phone. When the phone was returned, Frontera’s social media account was logged in and explicit material was on the phone, in messages between Frontera and a juvenile. Police seized the phone and obtained a search warrant, at which time they found sexually explicit material of a juvenile female on it. Police obtained warrants for Frontera’s and the juvenile’s accounts, and saw messages of Frontera knowing the victim was a juvenile, but still soliciting and approving of pornographic material received through contact with the juvenile, the complaint stated.
Frontera was arrested and arraigned Nov. 10 before on-call District Judge David Engman of Kane, who committed Frontera to jail in lieu of $250,000 bail. He is scheduled for Central Court on Thursday.
