SHAMOKIN (TNS) — A Pennslyvania hunter has died after falling from a tree in Northumberland County.
Robert Plasters Jr., 61, was reported missing after he didn’t come home from a hunting trip early Tuesday morning. That’s when state police and game wardens began a ground search for him, WNEP said.
Authorities came across his body in the area of Irish Valley and Elm Roads in Shamokin Township at about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Plasters fell about 40 feet from the tree and died at the scene. He was found at the base of the tree, police said. The death was ruled an accident, Fox56 reported.
