OLEAN, N.Y. — Directions in Independent Living recently announced their first annual Wine Walk.
This year they have planned to hold their Wine Walk in conjunction with StrOlean on Oct. 8 in Olean. The Wine Walk will begin at 1 p.m. and end at 4 p.m. The registration table for the Wine Walk will be located in Lincoln Park, at the corner by the sign. This park is located at the intersections of Union and State Streets in Olean. Individuals have been asked to pick up their bracelets, passports and wine glasses at this table beginning at 12:30 p.m. Please note that no wine will be served until 1pm.
Each vendor or business will offer two tastings at each location. Individuals must finish their wine and rinse their glass at each stop. By law, an individual is not allowed to walk away from the booth area with an open container, with alcohol still inside it.
There will be Hors d’oeuvres offered at some of the booths as well as some vendors/businesses offering discounts, coupons or specials for their stores or eating establishments.
Ticket purchases will include a map of each location for tasting, as well as a wine glass. Tickets are $35 for each participant, and can be purchased through the following link: https://secure.qgiv.com/for/202winwal/event/856392/
Directions in Independent Living requests individuals register for the first annual Wine Walk in advance. Individuals must be 21 years of age or older to participate.
