KANE — Two Pennsylvania recording artists have written songs to celebrate and pay tribute to Six&Kane, the Passive House at 63 N. Fraley St. in Kane.
“Here at Six&Kane” written by Kj Reimensnyder-Wagner will be an integral part of the grand opening celebration of Six&Kane — called “The Beginning,” to be held on Oct. 7-8.
The second song, “Six&Kane,” written by Van Wagner will make its debut on local Kane radio station WXZY 101.7 FM in advance of the celebration. Wagner did arrangement and production for both songs.
With seven CD projects in hand, Kj Reimensnyder-Wagner travels throughout the United States and Europe performing songs with grit that represent the hard workers of the land. She often writes about the people and places in Central Pennsylvania. Kj also provides songwriting workshops for all school-age kids throughout the school season working with the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit that represents all school districts in the central PA region. After being raised between the suburbs of Philadelphia and the small town of Mifflinburg during the summers, Kj is now a resident of the small college town of Lewisburg.
Van Wagner is an educator and musical artist. In the classroom, he teaches Environmental Science. He is a past recipient of the Conservation Educator of the Year from Schuylkill and Union County and was awarded the Sandy Cochran award for natural resource education from the Pennsylvania Forestry Association.
