CLARION — For an individual’s planning a trip to Clarion to take part and enjoy the Autumn Leaf Festival shuttle bus services have recently been announced.
Shuttle bus service will be available from the Area Transit Authority (ATA) on Friday, Sept. 30, for the Kronospan USA “Farmers & Crafters Day” and then again on Saturday, Oct. 1, for the Butler Health System — Clarion Hospital’s “Tournament of Leaves Parade.” The shuttle bus service will run between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
Bus pick-ups will begin at the Clarion Mall and proceed down to Walmart. The route will then continue up 5th Avenue into town, making a left onto South Street, a right onto 2nd Avenue and then a right onto Wood Street. Pick-up and drop-off will be at the intersection of Wood Street and 5th Avenue. Following the pick-up on 5th Avenue, the route will then go back to the Clarion Mall to start the loop again.
There will be two shuttle buses running, and both are handicapped accessible.
The cost for each ride will be $1.25 for the general public. Children under age 6, Senior Citizens ages 65 and older, as well as Clarion University students (with ID) can ride free. All riders must have exact change only to ride; the bus drivers can not provide change.
Pick-ups and drop offs will run approximately every 15 minutes, depending on traffic.
