The 2022 Port Allegany Homecoming activities have been announced by the Student Council, under the leadership of advisor Ben Palmer.
This year’s homecoming theme is Light Up the Night (Neon).
Spirit Week began with Adam Sandler Day on Monday, followed by Twin Day on Tuesday and Generation Day on Wednesday.
Today, Thursday is Neon Day. Friday is Orange and Black Day, complete with a Pep Assembly.
Festivities continue Friday night with the Homecoming Parade.
Line up for the parade is at 5 p.m at the Borough Building and the parade begins at 6 p.m. The route travels from the Borough Building to Mill Street, then to Main Street and onto Arnold Avenue before heading to Oat Street. The parade will end in the football field parking lot. A bonfire will take place immediately following the parade. Contact Palmer at PAHS if interested in participating in the parade.
The Junior High Homecoming Dance will take place Friday from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the auxiliary gym.
Then, at 10 a.m. Saturday, the Port United Girls Soccer team will play at the football field.
The homecoming football game will begin at 1:30 p.m.
The introduction of the court and announcement of the King and Queen will take place at halftime.
On Saturday, from 7:30 to 10 p.m., the Senior High Homecoming Dance will be held in the main gym at PAHS.
