COUDERSPORT — It’s not considered a conference game any longer, but Friday’s matchup between Smethport and Coudersport still featured the feel of a longstanding rivalry.

Ethan Ott rushed 20 times for 56 yards and a touchdown for Coudy, while Gavyn Ayers had 15 carries for 75 yards and a score. Xander Brown added 16 attempts for 57 yards, keying a Coudy offense that managed just 18 yards through the air.
Coudy had the ball for a whopping 35 minutes, nearly three times more than Smethport’s 12 minutes. Owen Deutschlander led the Coudy defense with 4.5 tackles and an interception.
Ryan Pelchy rushed seven times for 74 yards for Smethport, while Preston Alfieri completed 7-of-15 pass attempts for 87 yards. Ryan Mason had two receptions for 65 yards and Aiden McKean made four catches for 23 yards.
