CLARION — The Bradford girls soccer team overcame a slow start and, in doing so, ran away with an 8-1 victory at Clarion on Wednesday.
Bella Prince and Maddi Cowburn each scored three goals to pace the Lady Owls, while Kelsea Austin netted two goals of her own. Cowburn also handed out four assists, while Austin provided two assists and Prince, Olivia Coles and Grace Close each had one.
Clarion’s lone goal came on a first-half penalty kick after Bradford was called for a foul in the box. After carrying a 3-1 lead into half, the Lady Owls put the game away with three goals in the first ten minutes of the second stanza.
