HARRISBURG — AT&T has expanded its 5G network in Pennsylvania, giving residents, businesses and visitors a big boost in their wireless connectivity.
In the first half of 2022, AT&T has added 16 new sites in 13 counties — including McKean and Potter — to enhance the coverage and capacity and help customers in communities across Pennsylvania unlock the power of America’s Most Reliable 5G Network.
A new site in Smethport serves the Route 59 corridor between Ormsby and the Bradford Regional Airport, and through Backus, in McKean County.
In Potter County, a site in Keating Summit serves the intersection of Routes 155 & 607 (south of Liberty) in the western corner of Potter County near the McKean County border.
AT&T 5G brings fast, reliable and secure connectivity to more than 277 million people in over 18,000 cities and towns nationwide, which now includes these Pennsylvania communities. This helps Pennsylvania residents, businesses and visitors get the best possible experience over the AT&T network wherever they live, work and play. And it’s giving first responders on FirstNet – America’s public safety network – access to always-on, 24-hours-a-day priority and preemption across voice and data.
These new sites also bring Band 14 spectrum to the area, which is nationwide, high-quality spectrum set aside by the federal government specifically for FirstNet.
