CYCLONE — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) McKean County Maintenance announced Friday the following work schedule for the week of Aug. 22 – Aug. 26, weather permitting.
Motorists should travel with extra caution in these and all work areas. Motorists should be aware that due to the nature of highway maintenance and emergency work, crews could be working on any highway at any time of the day or night.
Planned repairs for the upcoming week include: sign repairs and upgrades on various routes throughout the county; Seal coating will be performed on Route 66 — Kane/Wilcox Road, Route 3007 — Halsey Road, Route 3001- Settlement Road, Route 3003 — Burning Well Road and Route 3005 — Campbelltown Road; Bridge repairs on various routes throughout the county; Patching repairs on Route 646 — Ormsby Area and Summit to Aiken; Trench patching repairs on Route 1006 — McCrea Brook Road; and Ditching repairs on Route 246 — Looker Mountain Trail.
The following work is also scheduled to be completed, weather permitting:
Contractor Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. plans to resurface State Route 321 and Route 46.
The Route 46 resurfacing project will consist of replacing a box culvert, drainage improvements, guide rail installation, pavement marking and other miscellaneous construction, a two-lane temporary roadway will be built as a run around when the box culvert is being replaced.
Contractor Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. also plans to perform resurfacing, and bridge repair on State Route 219 in the Bradford Area. Drivers will take the off-ramp at the Owens Way interchange, stop at the end of the ramp, and proceed back onto Route 219 northbound via the on-ramp.
