RIDGWAY — The North Central Pennsylvania Regional Planning and Development Commission’s Export Marketing Program is hosting the annual “Bringing the World to You” event in person for the first time since 2019, due to COVID.
“Bringing the World to You” will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 20, at the Red Fern, located at 421 Old Kersey Road in Kersey. This event will feature personnel from twelve of the thirteen Commonwealth’s Area Trade Representatives responsible for export trade and foreign direct investment, as well as key staff from the Department of Economic Development — Office of International Business Development.
This year’s “Bringing the World to You” will offer one-to-one company appointments with the twelve overseas offices on a first-come, first-served basis. The focus of the one-to-one meetings will be for businesses to have the opportunity to meet with Pennsylvania’s Area Trade Representatives from around the world to discuss their company’s international business objectives.
An addition to this event will be breakfast during registration at 7:30 a.m. and a lunch/networking session at noon. Whether a company is exploring new markets or looking to increase sales in an existing market, attending “Bringing the World to PA” is a great way to gain valuable insight to guide international business strategy.
Pennsylvania’s Authorized Trade Representatives from the following countries will be on tour: Australia (Australia and New Zealand); Canada; Czech Republic (Central & Eastern Europe — Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungry, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia and the Ukraine); Germany (Austria, Germany, Italy and Switzerland); India; Israel (Middle East — Egypt, Greece, Israel, Jordan and Turkey); Mexico; Netherlands (Belgium and Netherlands); Singapore (Southeast Asia — Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam); South Korea; Taiwan; and the United Kingdom (Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Norway and Sweden.)
