WARREN — Deerfield Behavioral Health, an affiliate of Journey Health System, welcomes Alyssa Allen, LPC, NCC, and Krystal Leach, PMHNP-BC, to their team of 16 mental healthcare providers located in Bradford and Warren, Pennsylvania.
Allen is a Licensed Professional Counselor with four years of diverse experience in behavioral health. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minn. in 2015, while working in a mental health direct support position. Allen received a master’s degree in counselor education in 2017 from St. Bonaventure University in St. Bonaventure, N.Y. In 2021, she achieved a graduate-level certificate in play therapy for children.
“I have worked with children, adolescents and families with a variety of behavioral health needs, as well as in a variety of settings including residential treatment, community and school settings, said Allen. “I am excited to start my career in outpatient therapy.”
Allen will continue to provide care for clients of Beacon Light Behavioral Health System as well.
Leach is a board certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who brings 12 years of experience, most recently as a Registered Nurse (RN) from Warren General Hospital. While working as an RN, Leach earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio before earning her master’s degree in nursing from Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Ky.
Treating mental illness and substance abuse disorders across the lifespan are strengths that Leach will offer. Additionally, she is passionate about providing quality, compassionate and comprehensive mental health care to the residents of Warren County and the surrounding areas.
Deerfield has offices in Bradford, Erie, Marienville, Tionesta, Warren and tele-psychiatry services are offered from State College. Their psychiatrists and nursing professionals serve individuals, social service agencies, skilled nursing facilities, tele-psychiatry partners and other health organizations on a direct or a contracted basis in diverse settings such as medical offices, outpatient clinics, inpatient hospital behavioral health units and substance abuse or dual diagnosis treatment centers.
