3 PSP TRAFFIC STOPS LEAD TO CHARGES OF DRUG/PARAPHERNALIA POSSESSION
LEWIS RUN — The Lewis Run based troopers of the Pennsylvania State Police conducted traffic stops on August 5 and 6 which lead to pending charges in McKean County District Court.
Per police reports, on Friday, Aug. 5, at 1:12 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop for a summary offense at the intersection of Rosedale and Lawrence avenues in the city of Bradford and found the driver of the vehicle, Dakota King, 19, of Cuba, N.Y., to be in possession of a controlled substance and related paraphernalia.
A few minutes later, at 1:36 a.m., troopers attempted to stop Eugene Kontz, 28, of Bradford, for a summary traffic violation at the location of U.S. Route 219 and Mill Street. However, Kontz failed to stop and officers pursued. After a short foot chase, Kontz was apprehended and found to have multiple misdemeanor warrants in addition to being in possession of drug paraphernalia.
Then, on Saturday, Aug. 6, at 12:15 a.m., on Forman Street and Tarport Road, troopers stopped Brent Kennedy, 22, of Bradford, for a summary traffic violation, per the police report. During further investigation, Kennedy was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and related paraphernalia.
