The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women’s softball team will be running a prospect camp for area players in grades 9-12 who are interested in extending their playing career to the collegiate level.
The fall prospect camp will include lessons and drills that focus on hitting, defensive play and base running. Separate sessions are held before each prospect camp for pitching and catching. Enrollees will take part in drills and receive group and one-on-one instruction from Panther softball players and coaches.
The camps will be held on Aug. 14, Sept. 18 and Oct. 9. Each session will run from noon to 5 p.m. Pitching and Catching instruction will be between 11 a.m. and noon.
Participants are expected to bring softball equipment (bat, gloves, cleats) and a water bottle. Registration will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the softball field at the Kessel Athletic Complex prior to the beginning of each session.
Campus tours will be available after the completion of the session.
Pre-Registration for the camp is required. Cost for participation in the clinic is $100 per session. Applications can be found on the Pitt-Bradford Athletics website.
Completed applications and payment can be mailed to Tina Phillips, 300 Campus Drive, Bradford, Pa. 16701. Checks can be made payable to the University of Pittsburgh.
