MINOR INJURIES IN 1 VEHICLE ACCIDENT
COUDERSPORT — Pennsylvania State Police were called to the scene of an accident on North Hollow Road in Coudersport Borough in Potter County at 1:30 p.m. on July 8.
According to the report, the Coudersport based PSP officers found that Carletta J. Groover, 24, of Ulysses, had been reaching for a water bottle while traveling north on North Hollow Road, causing her to leave the roadway and to strike a guide rail end. Her vehicle came to an immediate rest, the report indicated.
Minor injuries to Groover’s lip were reported, but she was not transported to a medical facility.
She is charged with driving on roadways laned for traffic.
Groover’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene by Knightlinger’s Towing.
HIT AND RUN DRIVER IDENTIFIED, CHARGED
COUDERSPORT — According to reports received from the Coudersport-based Pennsylvania State Police, an investigation is closed concerning the identification of the driver involved in a hit and run accident which occurred in Oswayo Borough, Potter County, 3:09 a.m. on Monday, July 11.
Dakota J. Caskey, 25, of Oswayo, was reportedly unaware that his truck was in drive when he accelerated rapidly from his driveway and across both lanes of travel on West Main Street. He struck a speed limit sign, a bush, and nearly hit a house, before fleeing the scene east on West Main Street.
Neither Caskey, nor his passenger, Darren A. Blauvelt, 29, of Shinglehouse, was injured in the accident.
Caskey is charged with driving on roadways laned for traffic and accidents involving damage to unattended vehicles or property.
