A two-year-old child died from drowning at her residence in Foster Township on Sunday.

Ainslee Grey Wolfgang, 2, of 600 Interstate Parkway, was pronounced dead at Bradford Regional Medical Center, police said. McKean County Coroner Mike Cahill said the cause of death was drowning.

Foster Township Police Chief Tom Munn said officers were notified at 5:56 p.m. Sunday of a child not breathing at a residence at 600 Interstate Parkway.

Munn said while the circumstances are still under investigation, police believe the drowning was a tragic accident. He said the child was found in the above-ground pool.

The McKean County District Attorney’s Office was notified as well.
