CAMP HILL — PCN’s 2022 Gettysburg anniversary programming will air Friday to Sunday, with three new Gettysburg Battlewalks featured every night beginning at 7 p.m.
In partnership with the Gettysburg National Military Park, PCN has televised Gettysburg Battlewalks on the anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg since 1995.
“Being on the same ground that was marched over, fought over, and bled over, helps us to bridge the divide between the past and the present and hopefully allows us to connect, in a meaningful way, with those who made history at Gettysburg,” said Christopher Gwinn, chief of interpretation and education at Gettysburg National Military Park. Gwinn will guide park visitors on the “Sacrifice of the 1st Minnesota” walk airing on Saturday.
On Friday will be a “Gettysburg History Hike” with Ranger Troy Harman, “The First Shots” with Ranger John Nicholas and “The End of the First Day” with John Hoptak, Education Specialist.
On Saturday will be “The Peach Orchard” with Ranger Matt Atkinson, “Sacrifice of the 1st Minnesota” with Christopher Gwinn, Chief of Interpretation and “National Cemetery Tour.”
On Sunday will be “Cemetery Hill” with Ranger Troy Harman, “Pickett’s Charge” with Angie Atkinson, Supervisory Ranger and “Defense of Cemetery Ridge” with Ranger Karlton Smith.
