The 48th annual Big 30 All-Star Charities Classic, set for the night of Aug. 6 at Bradford High’s Parkway Field, has announced the addition of Ridgway’s Eric Salberg to the roster.
Salberg was a 5-foot-10, 180-pound linebacker and fullback and a three-time letter winner in track and football.
He earned medalist status during the 2021 track season and was inducted into National Honor Society.
Salberg had an illustrious career, but his favorite moment was beating Brookville in the District 9 semi-finals.
He is most looking forward to putting the pads on with his teammates a final time in the Big 30 game.
Next up, Halberg plans to attend Slippery Rock University and major in Public Health while running for the track team.
The former Big 30 All-Star Football Game, founded by the late Don Raabe, matches graduated senior stars from each side of the border with the series tied, 22-22-3, though Pennsylvania hasn’t lost to New York since the 2015 renewal.
Proceeds benefit area charities and over the first 47 years, the game has donated more than $1.8 million to local causes.
