SHINGLEHOUSE — The Oswayo Valley Memorial Library has announced they will be closed on Saturday, July 2, in observance of the holiday weekend.
Moving forward in the month, the library will host the Messy Munchies program on Thursdays in June — June 16, 23, & 30, 12:30-1:30 pm. This program is free for children ages five through 12, and will feature fun activities, games and snacks.
“Let’s put the F in Fun, The M in Messy, and enjoy friends at the library,” said a library representative.
Another summer library program will be Oceans of Possibilities hosted on Wednesdays in July between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. This summer program is for children in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade. Registration is required by June 25. Call (814) 697-6691 or email ovmlibrary@gmail.com to register.
A Book Discussion Group will meet at the library at 10:30 a.m. on the second Thursday of each month. All individuals are invited to participate. Books will be provided by the Potter-Tioga Library System.
The library’s Board of Directors meeting takes place at 1 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of each. The public is encouraged to attend.
Individuals can search the card catalog anytime by visiting the library’s website at ovmlibrary.org. They may also log into their accounts and renew the books they wish to have out or to put a book on reserve.
