ST. MARYS — Life and Independence for Today (LIFT), is holding a Wine Walk Friday, June 10, from 5 to 8 p.m. beginning at the Community Education Center on Erie Avenue. Proceeds from the fundraiser will help offset the operational costs of the program and services that enable individuals with disabilities to remain in their own homes and live as independently as possible.
Participants will walk throughout the downtown area visiting merchants, eating snacks and hors d’oeuvres, while sampling wine, beer, moonshine, and distilled spirits. Contests and prizes are also part of the evening.
Again this year, St. Marys Insurance, Inc. has jumped on board as the main sponsor. Additional sponsors include Elk Mountain Winery, wine glasses that each participant will receive at the event; Kinetic by Windstream, signs and advertising; Gerg Allstate and Tractor Supply sponsored portions of the door prizes for the event.
Tickets are available for $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Call LIFT at (814) 781-3050, or purchase in person at St. Marys Chamber of Commerce, Goetz’s, Elk Mountain Winery, Sugar Mama’s Bake Shop, or Gerg Allstate.
