Two Bradford duos competed at Wednesday’s District 9 tennis doubles tournament, including the team of Max Shaw and Spencer Cornelius, who were defeated in the quarterfinals after a first-round victory.
Shaw and Cornelius started their tournament by defeating DuBois Central Catholic’s Colin Micknis and Aaron Bohley, 10-3. They then fell to eventual-champions Anthony Messineo and Cameron Klebacha of DuBois, 10-4, in the quarters.
On the other side of the bracket, the Bradford team of Peyton Haight and Ward Kennedy fell to eventual runners-up Aramy Ferrent and Zayin Spearing of Punxsutawney, 10-1, in the first round.
