GALETON — Port Allegany’s eight-run 6th inning put a bow on a dominant victory over Galeton, as the Gators held serve in the Northern Allegheny League championship race.
A 16-2, six-inning triumph closed Port’s regular season at 11-7 overall and 10-2 in league play, as Noah Archer tallied three hits and two RBI to lead the Gator offense. Blaine Moses added a hit, a walk and three RBI, while Isaiah Wiley had two hits.
Drew Evens got the win on the bump for Port, striking out eight batters while allowing three walks and three hits in 5.1 frames.
DuBois Central Catholic 13, Cameron County 1, 5 inningsDUBOIS — Kaden Brezenski struck for two hits and five RBI to lead DuBois Central Catholic to 13 runs in just four innings and a dominant victory over Cameron County.
Brayden Fox, Carter Hickman and Andrew Green all accumulated two-hit outings for the Cardinals. Carter Hickman struck out eight and allowed no earned runs in three innings.
Jesop Farabaugh had two of Cameron County’s three hits to aid their effort.
Wellsboro 9, Coudersport 4COUDERSPORT — Blake Leumoloski went the distance striking out four and allowing just four runs, three earned, to guide Wellsboro.
Leumoloski got offensive backing from two-hit nights by Darryn Callahan, Blake Hamblin and Gabe Sprouse. Gavyn Ayers drove in two runs on two hits and Jacob Hooftallen had one RBI and a hit to aid Coudersport’s effort.
Johnsonburg 6, St. Marys 2JOHNSONBURG — Luke Zimmerman nearly went the distance, striking out 11 and walking just one over 6.1 innings to spark Johnsonburg’s victory.
Kaden Dennis drove in a trio of runs, scored once and had one hit for Jburg. Christian Coudriet struck out five over 4.2 innings and Logan Mosier had one hit and scored for St. Marys.

Elk County Catholic 9, Kane 6ST. MARYS — Dom Zambanini knocked in two runs on three hits and scored twice to steer Elk County Catholic to victory.
Joe Tettis added two hits and scored twice while David Andreson had two hits and RBI to aid ECC. Andrew Jekielek and Elijah Evertt each had two RBI and combined for three hits to spark Kane.
Defensively, the Crusaders used five different pitchers led by 4.1 innings of work and five strikeouts from Tommy Slay.
