JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — Sixty students at SUNY Jamestown Community College have earned Phi Theta Kappa membership, including Eldred, Pa., native Mackenzie Crowe. The national, two-year college honor fraternity held their induction ceremony for students at both the Jamestown and Cattaraugus County campuses on April 22.
To be considered for induction, a student must achieve at least a 3.50 grade point average. In other news, 46 students were inducted into the Jamestown campus Alpha Kappa Beta chapter, and 14 into the Cattaraugus County Campus Alpha Psi Omega chapter. Daniel Heitzenrater, president and chief executive officer of the Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce, and 2011 graduate of JCC, addressed the inductees.
