STRAWBERRIES! May is National Strawberry Month and Popcorn.org has a delicious and fun recipe called Strawberries and Cream Popcorn, which your family and friends are sure to enjoy snacking on.
To begin, you will need a quarter cup of freeze-dried strawberries, which will give the popcorn loads of sweet flavor. Add six cups of popped popcorn and one cup of white chocolate chips (melted), and that is all this fun and easy recipe requires.
Once the ingredients have been gathered, grab your small food processor or spice grinder and pulse the freeze-dried strawberries until they are finely ground. Next place all of the popcorn into a large bowl.
Drizzle the melted white chocolate over top of the popped popcorn and give it a couple tosses until all of the popcorn is well coated in chocolate and then scrape the coated popcorn onto a large piece of parchment paper-lined baking sheet, spreading into an even layer.
Now it is time to sprinkle the evenly ground freeze-dried strawberries. Once you or your child is finished coating this kitchen creation in color, let it stand at room temperature for 30 to 60 minutes or at least until the chocolate has set and is hardened. To serve, break into pieces and enjoy!
