LEWIS RUN — Spring is finally in the air for Bradford and surrounding areas and one such area is catering to its community by hosting its first ever Town Wide Sale in conjunction with a BBQ Chicken meal sponsored by the Lewis Run Volunteer Fire Department.
Lewis Run’s own Town Wide Sale along with the firehall’s BBQ Chicken Dinner will take place from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 21. Residents of Lewis Run are encouraged to host their own sales, however the Borough of Lewis Run will also have feature spots available inside and outside of the Lewis Run Firehall.
“Got stuff you don’t want, put it out for sale. Things you may need, check out what your neighbors are selling. Hungry? Grab a [Chicken BBQ] dinner from the firehall. Let’s make it an ongoing event,” exclaimed the Lewis Run Borough via a post on their Facebook page. “So clear the clutter, come on out and set up.”
The Lewis Run Volunteer Fire Department’s BBQ Chicken Dinner will be available starting at noon on Saturday. According to a representative, the meals will be made available via curbside pickups and pre-orders will also be available and welcomed.
Beyond typical yard sale items, there will also be vendors inside and outside of the firehall on the day of the event.
Residents who wish to reserve inside spots the cost will be $15, outside spots $10 and tables will be made available for an additional $5. Individuals who are interested in setting up at the hall on the day of the event should contact Silvana at (814) 558-3004.
It should be noted that residents of the area who are planning to have their own spring sales on Saturday, May 21, will provide their own schedules for the day.
In other news, the Borough of Lewis Run will soon have new signage for the major businesses who call Lewis Run their own. These businesses include McCourt Label, Allegheny Bradford Corp, Keystone Powdered Metal Company, Allegheny Surface Technology and Protocol 80.
