Desk and Derrick

On Wednesday, April 20, PYOGA met at the University Of Pittsburgh for dinner and to listen to their guest speaker, Matt Kropf.

Kropf is the director of Energy Engineering, Petro Tech, Energy Science & Technology and Environmental Science. He partners with local businesses to promote how his classes work within their industries.

Also, a state of the art Engineering Building is being constructed on the campus. The building will be called George B. Duke Engineering and Technology Building, with a cost of 1.8 million just for the equipment.

Plans are being made for the Kinzua Bridge Challenge held in August at the Kinzua Bridge. We are currently looking for sponsors for the race. A meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. on May 9 at Linda Meyer’s office.

The convention will be held in Pittsburgh in September this year. The next meeting of the Desk and Derrick will be held at Marsha McCracken’s house on Wednesday, June 15.
