OLEAN, N.Y. — The Greater Olean Home Show will be held April 22 to 24 at the Good Times Event Center.
Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce officials reported that the number of vendors at the expo doesn’t warrant a location the size of the Rec Center — which happened to be the event’s home for more than 40 years.
“The Rec Center is the size of an ice skating rink and can maintain 108 booth spaces. The Good Times Events Center is a great fit for the more than forty vendors our expo has lined up. We have a wide variety of home, sports and fitness/health vendors – it’s a great mix,” reported Meme Yanetsko, GOACC COO.
The Greater Olean Home Show is scheduled for April 22 to 24, 2022 with hours Friday from 5 to 9 p.m.; Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This year’s show will feature no admission fee, but encourages all expo goers to enter the basket raffles for $10/sheet. More than 50 items will be raffled off with most products or gift certificates for service from the expo vendors.
Also expo goers will have an opportunity to attend and learn and make and take. The expo committee will dedicate space(s) to bring demonstrations, seminars to the show again this year. Topics include: how to make shop bags out of old tee shirts; decorate cookies/cupcakes; learn about composting; plant based eating; prevention of heart attacks; learn how to cast for fly fishing; and how about taking horseback riding lessons? Locally grown from Miller’s Farm Market, 50 flower pots and 50 basil pots will be handed out courtesy of Miller’s to the first 100 people in the show on Sunday, April 24.
Each year, the home show has a show theme and show colors. This year, the theme is ‘Come Discover Your Inspiration’ with a purple, gray and black color scheme.
