DUBOIS — After starting the season on a strong note by beating Brockway, the Bradford baseball team suffered its first setback Wednesday, dropping a 15-0 defeat to DuBois in four innings.
The Beavers jumped on the Owls early, scoring two runs in the first inning and two more in the second before an eight-run third sealed Bradford’s fate. Brycen Dinkfelt homered and Alek Pasternak tripled to highlight DuBois’ offense.
Nolan Ruolo had two hits for Bradford, while Mike Gow added a hit.

BOLIVAR, N.Y. — Trey Buchholz and Caden Allen combined to allow just two hits and Bolivar-Richburg struck early in winning an intriguing interstate battle.
Aydin Sisson went 3-for-4 and Reiss Gaines was 2-for-3 and drove in a pair of runs for the Wolverines (3-0), who went up 5-0 in the first two innings and tacked on four insurance runs in the sixth after Coudy made it 5-2. Sawyer Johnson added a hit and also drove in a pair.
Wyatt Daisley and Gavyn Ayers had the two hits for the Falcons.

PUNXSUTAWNEY — Punsxutawney’s early offense proved sufficient against Elk County Catholic, as the Chucks scored a run in the first and two more in the second before holding on to beat ECC.
The Crusaders rallied in the 5th, when Luke Ginther drove home Joey Geci with an RBI single. Tommy Slay then scored on an infield error by Punxsy, but the Crusaders stranded the tying run on base and failed to muster another rally.
Slay led ECC with two hits while Ginther, Ben Reynolds and Dom Zambanini each added one hit. Joe Tettis struck out six batters over 4.2 innings of work on the mound.

COUDERSPORT — Elk County Catholic scored five runs in the fifth inning and six more in the sixth, as Lydia Anderson notched three hits to lead the Lady Crusaders over Coudersport.
Lucy Klawuhn and Caitlyn Vollmer each added two hits for ECC, while Klawuhn and Syd Alexander each drove in two runs. Emily Mourer picked up the win in the pitcher’s cicle, logging eight strikeouts while scattering seven hits.
Seven different Lady Falcons accounted for Coudy’s seven hits, including a double each by Aubri Thompson and Savannah Myers.

COUDERSPORT — The Coudersport boys and girls track and field teams each swept a Tuesday tri-meet against Cameron County and Sheffield.
Kevin Sherry’s quadruple win led the way for the Falcons, as he claimed the 800, 1600 and 3200-meter runs in addition to a leg on the 3200 relay. Gavyn Ayers added wins in the 100, 200 and 1600 relay, while Sheffield’s Lucas McNeal won the triple jump, high jump, long jump and a leg on the winning 400 relay team.
Liz Frame led the Coudy girls, posting a victory in the 1600 while running on each of the Lady Falcons’ victorious relay teams. Hallie Rigas added victories in high jump and triple jump while Sierra Myers won shot put and javelin.
Aaralyn Robinson added two victories for Cameron County, winning the 100 and 200.
