The Bradford Area High School Alumni Association held its Feb. meeting at the Model T Inn with 19 members attending to review the group’s 2021 activities and 2022 progress to date.
It was reported that both membership and donations levels during the past year continued to show very good increases and the association was able to successfully resume traditional gatherings for the banquet, scholarship luncheon and monthly meetings.
The group was informed that application forms for the 2022 Alumni Scholarships would be available to BAHS seniors for pickup after March 1 at the guidance office. Completed applications will be ready for distribution to the selection committee by May 1 and presentations will be made during the evening Awards Assembly on May 31. It was agreed that the selection committee would be finalized during the March meeting.
Also, the 1962 class committee had made contact to inform the group that their class had not been included in the winter newsletter list of those who had donated remaining funds to the association during the past six years. They bring the number of classes to 12. Time was spent reviewing some comments which had been received from members recently regarding memorial donations and informing the group of the loss of classmates.
The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 24 at which time the scholarship program will be discussed and planning started for the spring scholar luncheon.
