PA TRAFFIC ANALYTICS: There is not much in the world of travel more frustrating than getting stuck sitting in traffic. Especially because less time commuting to an intended destination means more time for work, family and fun.
UnitedStatesZipCodes.org recently released a study on the Best and Worst Commutes in Pennsylvania. The study also highlights which areas in Pennsylvania have done the most to reduce the time it takes for people to get to work and travel through their region.
The latest average travel time to work in the state of Pennsylvania is 27.1 minutes and has risen 0.5% from 26.9., but it still varies greatly by location. The study, which highlights the latest data from the U.S. Census Bureau, details the 50 best and 50 worst commutes throughout the state.
Placing fourth this year on the shortest commutes list is Williamsport with a 16.2 minute average commute. Coming in third is Sayre with a 16 minute commute while second place goes to DuBois with a 15.8 minute average commute. St. Marys once again took first place on the shortest commute list with an average travel time of 14.5 minutes, which is up from their 13.9 minute commute from their previous study.
Fourth and third for the longest commutes in PA include Shohola and Milford at 42.3 minutes; then Tobyhanna at 43.7 minutes; and surprisingly, it is not Pittsburgh, Harrisburg or Philadelphia which have the longest commute times in PA, but East Stroudsburg at 50.4 minutes on average.
And if Bradford residents are curious where they ranked among the other cities of Pennsylvania — Bradford came in 15th on the 50 short commutes list.
