EARLY RETURN: Jack Bell of Kane told the newsroom he stepped out into his backyard Tuesday evening and found a group of 8 to 10 robins. He said he has never seen one in the area at this time of year.
We believe they are a bit early and are in for some cold weather before Spring arrives.

FOUR CHAPLAINS: An ‘RTS reader wrote to the newsroom to share the fact that the last survivor of the Four Chaplains incident aboard the USAT Dorchester, discussed in the Feb. 17 RTS, died in 2019. His name was William Bunkelman, who passed away at 98 years of age.
Our reader stated he was credited with saving 54 men, but he considered the Four Chaplains the true heroes. This information came from the American Legion magazine, March 2019.
