GOODIES: Want to help show our community’s appreciation for the workers who are working so hard to save lives at Bradford Regional Medical Center?
The Save Bradford Hospital Campaign is raising funds in partnership with the Bradford Chocolate Factory on Main Street to send 1/2 pound boxes of Valentine’s Day chocolates to all 344 BRMC employees.
You can donate in person at the shop (72 Main Street), by phone at 814-270-2626, or online at https://www.bradfordchocolatefactory.com.
The Chocolate Factory is selling these chocolates at cost for $14 a piece, so all proceeds go directly to the workers:

You can choose to pay for just one box, or to donate a larger amount. Every contribution will be appreciated, and go toward showing that we’re all in this together!
CANDY: In the same spirit, we wanted to share some fun facts we’ve found about candy.
According to the website tropicalfoods.com, less than two percent of the calories in the American diet are supplied by candy.
Germans consume twice as much candy as Americans.
Did you know that 65% of American candy bars were introduced more than 50 years ago?
A one-ounce piece of milk chocolate contains about the same amount of caffeine as a cup of decaffeinated coffee.
U.S. chocolate manufacturers currently use 40% of the almonds produced in the U.S. and 25 % of domestic peanuts.
Are you a fan of Skittles? Many people are, as 200 million of the candies are produced each day.
And what about Dum Dums? Did you know the “mystery flavor” is a mix of two flavors created when the machine switches to produce a new flavor?
