KANE — Gavin Jimerson and Landon Francis each provided buckets in a critical third quarter that saw the Otto-Eldred boys basketball team stretch its lead from two points to seven.
When the final buzzer sounded, Jimerson had scored 16 points and Francis had scored 12, as the duo led O-E over Kane, 42-27, in a non-league contest Monday.
Francis also recorded four steals, four assists and three rebounds, while Jimerson tacked on five rebounds, two steals and two assists. Austin Cousins chipped in with nine points and two steals for O-E.
Kane was led by Andy Jekielek, who scored seven points before fouling out.

ST. MARYS — It was a three-happy game, with Moniteau hitting a few more from inside to earn a win over St. Marys.
Kyle Pry led the way with four 3-pointers and a pretty 7-for-8 free throw shooting to lead the Moniteau effort. He finished with 23 points on the night while Ryan Jewart hit another four triples to add 13 points to the Warriors total.
Anthony Nedzinski led the Flying Dutchmen with 19 points, including a game-high five 3-pointers.
Chason Delarosa-Rugg hit a 3-pointer late in the fourth to help Moniteau gain the lead. Pry shot 5-for-6 from the charity stripe in the fourth, while Colton Thomas got two buckets underneath as the Warriors completed the comeback. St. Marys was just 1-for-5 from the line in the final period.

JOHNSONBURG — Brookville showed, once again, why it has made it to February undefeated.
The Raiders followed a shaky start with a rock-solid finish to beat Johnsonburg, led by Danny Lauer’s 20 points. The Rams led by a point after one quarter and trailed by two at half, but faded late in the game as Brookville turned it on from deep.
Jake Lobaugh led Jburg with 12 points, while Jefferson Freeburg scored nine points and Aaron Myers and Luke Zimmerman each added seven.

FOXBURG — Izzy Catalone’s 11 points led the way for St. Marys in a rout of A-C Valley.

AUSTIN — Despite a 15-point performance from Ella Brewer, Austin fell at home to Bucktail thanks to Makenze Wagner’s 22 points for the Lady Bucks.
The Lady Panthers found themselves in a hole early, scoring just one point in the first period, and were unable to overcome the deficit. Isabella Rees added five points for Austin.
