ZIPPO’S ART OF ROCK: You know their music. You’ve seen them on the silver screen. But did you know they’re also passionate visual artists? Now, Zippo is bringing some of your favorite names in music and movies together to celebrate the Art of Rock.
The Art of Rock livestream series will highlight seven performers over six weeks. Every Friday from Jan. 14 through Feb. 18, tune in to either the Zippo or Zippo Encore Facebook pages at 3 p.m. for a live conversation with host Jose Mangin and your favorite artists.
At the end of each session, the artist will announce the availability of their original design for a limited-edition Zippo lighter. Each design will be available exclusively on zippo.com while supplies last, so make sure to catch the livestream and get first dibs on these never-before-seen works of art.
At 3 p.m. on Jan. 14 the Art of Rock livestream will feature Max Cavalera. Cavalera is a Brazilian singer, guitarist and songwriter who currently plays in heavy metal bands Soulfly, Sepultura, Cavalera Conspiracy. His most recent band venture, Go Ahead and Die, blends thrash and death metal where he performs with his son, Igor, and drummer Zach Coleman.
At 3 p.m. on Jan. 21 the livestream will feature drummer Brann Dailor of heavy metal band Mastodon.
At 3 p.m. on Jan. 28 Booboo Steawart, actor and singer, will be featured.
At 3 p.m. on Feb. 4 the livestream will feature Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante and Butcher Babies vocalist Carla Harvey. At 3 p.m.
At 3 p.m. on Feb. 11 Aric Improta, drummer for the bands Fever 333 and Night Verses, will be featured.
At 3 p.m. on Feb. 18 the livestream will feature the final artist in their line-up, drummer of death metal band Gojira, Mario Duplantier.
