JOHNSONBURG — Alex Ognen’s big night fell just short, as Luke Zimmerman hit a 3-pointer with three seconds remaining in overtime to give Johnsonburg a one-point win.
The first quarter was slow with only two players scoring. Both teams took off on offense from there. Jack Elmquist scored nine of his 11 points in the middle quarters to help give Johnsonburg a lead until the fourth quarter.
In the fourth, Ognen put up eight points in the final period to help tie the game and force over time.
In overtime, both teams traded baskets, and with time winding down, Zimmerman banged one of his four 3-pointers to give Jburg the lead and the win.

Elk County Catholic 51, Brockway 41
BROCKWAY — In a back-and-forth affair, Elk County Catholic’s big fourth quarter gave it a road win over Brockway.
ECC entered the fourth quarter down three after leading by six at half. Noah Adams poured in 10 points in the third to help Brockway retake the lead. But foul trouble bit the Rovers — they sent ECC to the free throw line 16 times in the final quarter.
The Crusaders responded by going 14-of-16 from the charity stripe. Luke Jansen, who finished with a team-high 16 points, had eight in the fourth quarter while Jordan Wasko, who finished with 12, had five as the Crusaders put up 19 points to blow the game open.
Brockway plays Thursday at Curwensville while ECC visits DuBois Catholic on Friday.

Austin 35, Galeton 25
GALETON — Cameron Rees led with 10 points to help Austin to a comfortable road win over Galeton.
Austin got to a hot start with five players scoring in the first quarter to help the Panthers build their 11-point lead. Galeton tried to close the gap to eight in the third quarter, but was unable to stop Austin’s offense for long enough. Matthew Zur led Galeton with nine points on the night.
Galeton travels to Otto-Eldred on Thursday while Austin is off until a matchup at Smethport on Jan. 12.
