WARREN — A Sugar Grove man was killed Thursday morning in an accident in Warren County.
According to Warren-based state police, Dillon Edwards, 24, of Sugar Grove, was traveling east on Teal Hill in a 1989 Chevrolet Cavalier at 4:59 a.m. and failed to stop at a stop sign with Warren Road. Edwards’ vehicle struck a 2004 Nissan XTerra, driven by Jason Bailey, 45, of Warren, which was traveling south on Warren Road.
Police say Edwards was transported to WCA Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
His passenger, Erin Groves, 24, also of Sugar Grove, was flown to UPMC Hamot for treatment of injuries, the severity of which were unknown.
Police reports indicate Bailey was suspected to have minor injuries but refused transport.
Sugar Grove, Busti and Lander fire departments assisted at the scene, along with an ambulance service.
